Description This locus consists of 2 north south subflooring support piers laid to abut the South Wall (Locus 2), east of the Doorway Locus 15, and aligned with rows of the Terracotta Tile Hypocaust Columns (Locus 19A). These piers are identical in construction to those described as Locus 19B, except that they are shorter in length. It is postulated that these piers flanked flues like those defined as Loci 22, 23, 24, and 25, but no ceramic canalization tiles were extant (cf. Locus 21).
