Stage Description Subflooring construction.
Description (Locus 19B) all the way to the interior face of the East Wall (Locus 8). The floor of the corridor could not be completely excavated due to the constricted space—efforts to do so began to damage the terracotta tile walls of Locus 32, so excavation was halted. The corridor was backfilled upon completion in order to preserve the fragile terracotta tiles of Locus 32. Exact function of the corridor was not determined, but a maintenance and/or drainage function is posited.
