Description Locus 2 is defined by a brownish yellow soil which is distinctly fine grained and almost sandy in texture. It is noticeably different from the dark Locus 1 topsoil, and while retaining organic material does so in decreased numbers. Material from this locus is severely eroded, indicative of the soil type being an erosional fill, which is in keeping with its position at the bottom of a slope. Locus 2 extends across the entirety of CB56.
