Description Most of the top surface of this wall had been exposed during the previous excavation of the corridor to the east and the Tr. 127 room to the south. The wall is constructed of sandstone, using a combination of hewn stones, dressed ashlars, and snecking stones all set in wet-mortar. Much of the wall consists of 2 rows of stones, but in several places single large ashlars span the whole width of the wall. The extant portion of the wall appears of sturdy construction, although clusters of snecking stones and mortar visible on the exterior (east) face suggest periods of repair. Some traces of wall stucco near the Loci 9A and 9B floor pavers suggest that the interior (west) face of the wall was plastered in antiquity.
