Size 0.83 m north south-by- 0.365 m east west.
Description Locus 2 had a Munsell Color of 10YR 4/4. It was composed of fine, moist, clay/silt soil, which seemed to have a higher sand content that Locus 3 (particularly, it was not as fine). It was loose, had notably few pebbles, granules, or any stones, and few pottery sherds. It was distinctly reddish. This locus was the immediate bedding for the pavers.
