Description Locus 3 is defined by a darkish warm brown soil which is clay like and adhesive. It is hard packed and solid in texture, with fine grains and little organic material. When exposed to the sun it becomes noticeably lighter, to a light creamy brown in colour. Locus 3 extends across the entire trench.
