The higher area in the centre of the southern metre where Stump F was was lightly pickeed again in order to level it. A second piece of slag (this time of bronze) was round. (Special Find No. 2)

The southern area was then further levelled with trowel and hand pick. Following this, roots were clipped across the entire trench, which was then scraped down with trowels from north to south. The northern boundary with CB 53 was then brought down once more. In this area, a piece of iron slag (Special Find No. 3) was found.

Levelling work continued in then orht, while baulk walling began on the eastern wall. The southern baulk wall was then trimmed. Scraping with trowels then began to clear any loose dirt and define the trench ready for closing photographs. In the course of this, a bronze cylinder was found. (Special Find No. 4)
