Location In the far east of Trench 71 lower level.
Bottom (m) Closing elevation: - 1.30 m below Sub datum 71 I, or 896.16 m.
Abuts Locus 17 north face of the east west Stepped Retaining Wall as well as the east face of Locus 35, the Middle Course of the Cryptoporticus Wall.
Overlies Unknown.
Description For the major part this is a loose sandy dry soil deposit. Although its major color is a weak red or Munsell 2.5YR6/3, in some areas the integrity of the color has been compromised by ash ridden soil lenses of a Munsell dark reddish gray or 2.5YR5/1.
Combined with Loci 30 and 32.
Underlies Top soil.
Phase Description Phase XIV: Modern period marked by Bedouin activity and the accumulation of recent debris.
Bonds to None except for other fill layers, such as Loci 28, 32 and 30.
Top (m) Opening elevation: -1.34 m below Sub datum Point 71 C, or 897.38 m.
Size 4.00 m east west-by-14.10 in length.
