Description | A sandstone platform located underneath the raised pulpitum. It might have been the original foundation for an earlier construction or was the earlier stage platform prior to the raised pulpitum. The visible edge of this construction consists of a single course of decorative beveled sandstone blocks in alternating red and white. This distinctive decorative feature can also be seen on the tetrastyle in antis curb in the Pronaos of the Temple. |
