Description As can be noted in the chart below, these steps are the longest single set of stairs in the West Entry. Step 1, Ashlar Number: 6, Riser Height: 14 cm, Width/Depth: 40 cm, Step 2, 6, 12 cm, 40 cm, Step 3, 6, 13 cm, 39 cm, Step 4, 6, 12 cm, 37 cm, Step 5, 5, 11 cm, 37 cm, Step 6, 5, 11 cm, 39 cm, Step 7, 5, 12 cm, 32.5 cm, Step 8, 6, 12 cm, 37 cm, Step 9, 5, 15 cm, 29 cm, Step 10, 5, 11 cm, 31 cm, Step 11, 5, 9 cm, 39 cm, Step 12*, 5, 12 cm, 38 cm, Step 13**, 4, 12 cm, 54 cm, Step 14, Missing, Step 15, Missing (* 1 ashlar missing, ** 2 ashlars missing). Above is a chart with the average measurements for each step in Locus 11. Each step was measured and the heights and widths of the ashlars averaged for steps 1 to 11 (Steps 12-15 have been compromised by missing blocks). Ashlars in each row average 5.4545 blocks per row. Averaging the height of the steps is 0.12 m, and the average for the width or depth of each step in Locus 11 is 0.364 m. The justification for ascribing these steps to this phase is that all the extant steps and platform landings are considered to have been constructed concurrently.
