Description | This locus comprises the sediment that had collected as fill at the north half of the trench. It measured 2.26 m north-south and 0.90 m east-west. It spanned the distance between both the east and west walls (Loci 2, 5), and was congruent with Locus 7, although it sloped down to the street level. It had a Munsell Color of 5YR 4/4, or Reddish Brown, and was a mix of sand, soil, pebble and medium size stone. The finds from this locus were minimal, although two special finds are noteworthy. The first an intact, ribbed vessel, the second a bone ring which had been broken in half. |
