Description This locus is the top-soil layer. The soil is dark-brown with numerous fist-size and smaller stones. There are also numerous roots. Approximately 1/2 bowl (16 cm. in diameter/8 cm. in depth) of small well-worn terracotta fragments was recovered. 5 sherds of pottery were found.
