Stage Stage 1
Phase IV
Stage Description Construction of the West Corridor Wall.
Description This doorjamb, like its counterpart in the north, is in the third doorway from the north of the West Corridor. It is comprised of four large limestone ashlars set one above the other. The later nasty Threshold Blockage wall was built up and into the doorjamb, so more of the well-articulated doorjamb ashlars could not be seen. With the removal of the Threshold Blockage Wall, the doorjamb and the splendid doorway was cleared to provide access into the Western Corridor.
Size Length 0.92 m, exposed height 0.88 m.
Location The third doorway from the north linking the West Walkway with the West Corridor. It lies to the south of its counterpart, Locus 4, the north doorjamb.
