Description | The beautifully carved limestone base of the Pierre anta, approx. 4.40 m long-by- 2.10 m wide with Attic profile. It mirrors the base of the Patricia anta on the west. Well-preserved, there are a few breaks at the edges. The base has projections under the engaged pilasters described above, so clearly these features were part of the original plan of the anta. Floor bedding runs under the base into a "notch" underneath the molded elements, but a leveling or stylobate course is visible, supporting the feature. |
