Caption | A line of five shops built against the east wall of the Friday mosque (August 2007). The shops were irregularly shaped, single-roomed structures built of repurposed stone including column drums and small monolithic columns. Each room was subdivided into work areas and storage bins. The façade of the shops on the main axial street was completely removed in earlier excavations |
