Description | Head of incomplete deer-like creature, completely covered in soot. Antlers or ears broken off. Pierced holes represent eyes. Muzzle/mouth is a hole in exterior displaying an inner small pierced hole. Broken neck exposing hollowed interior. Possibly from a zoomorphic vessel used as an aquamanile (Baramki & Avi Yonah 1934:9-16) Comparanda: Khairy 1990:29#21. |
