Description This is the cryptoporticus wall under the arch springer course and middle stylobate of the East Colonnade. The exposed east face is constructed of large, roughly cut sandstone blocks leveled with small chinking stones (the west face is obscured by a late blocking/vaulting wall built up against it; see Stage 2). There is little evidence of plaster. This wall was not fully excavated in 2001.
