Bottom (m) | Bottom elevation: 905.536 905.596 m. |
Description | Munsell 10YR 6/8 with small amounts of 2.5YR 6/8. Small amounts of charcoal (0.01-0.02 m in width and length) randomly scattered throughout the locus. Contains little plaster, only pottery sherds, charcoal and soil. Therefore, it seems more likely an occupation level or dump than a destruction level. A later stage of architecture rests on top of approximately 0.13 m of fill. Whomever now occupied the Temple site (Roman or Byzantine) decided to raise at least part of the floor level of the Temple, although only one part of the surface of this platform remains. This surface is Locus 3. |
