Architectural or Soil Locus? Soil
Description This locus is similar to Locus 8 except that the soil is not so packed or moist. Locus 8 may have become this way because it is on the bottom of a large fill. The soil here, however, is sandy and all the pottery of this locus is fragmentary. We have the same amount of different types of pottery here, mostly Roman sherds with a few Nabataean pieces (a ratio of 8:2).
