Description Locus 1 is a dark brown humus layer with organic material including leaves, grass and roots.One stump is present in the SE corner of the trench measuring approximately thirty centimeters. Another smaller stump is located in the eastern portion of the trench measuring approximately ten centimeters. One rock is located in the eastern portion of the trench, running along the northern wall measuring approximately twenty centimeters. The full amount of pottery from the trench was found in this locus with small amounts of terra cotta. What artifacts were found were fairly worn. The soil pack was loose and fairly shallow, measuring between fifteen and twenty-five centimeters deep.
