Combined with Locus 6.
Description This locus consists of the soil in the south-east of the trench that surrounds Locus 6, and is adjacent to the soil of Locus 8. It extends up to all four walls (Loci 2, 3, 4, 5), and measures 1.90 m north-south measured from Locus 4, and 0.60 m east-west. Its Munsell Color is 5YR 4/6, or Yellowish Red. This appears to be sedimentary deposit, but differed in color from the previous sediment layer. The soil was a mix of soil, sand, pebbles, and some larger stones. Artifact inclusions were significant, particularly of pottery.
Overlies Loci 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16.
