Description | This channel is fashioned out of segments of reused limestone ashlars. These have been crudely plastered together. Stone collapse from the drain, Locus 25, is found on top of them in the southernmost section of the trench. Constructed on top of the shallow channel segments that measure ca. 0.80 m, are small east west walls that have been constructed over the channel segments. The northernmost wall accommodated the channel, but the southernmost blocked it. The sides of the channel have copious amounts of plaster, which in antiquity may have served to support clay pipes. |
