Description | Bucchero lid fragment preserves a design of two deeply incised lines around rim and a row of stamped designs consisting of a double curving volute the curves of which are large enough to touch each other and the bow curve. Of the five stamps two are complete. Inside the row of stamps are two lightly incised lines going around rim. Interior side of lid preserves a ridge for securing lid to pot. Probably from the same lid as 19790166 and 19790167. |
