Definition The Central Doorway of the South Corridor Wall—Blocked
Phase VI
Stage Description Blocking of the South Corridor doorways and the rebuilding of the doorway to the Central Arch.
Description See comment for Locus 32, the East Doorway. The interior of the Central Doorway was originally plastered with raised stucco panels painted in blue. There are elements of red plaster found as well. Unfortunately the stucco has been bruised by falling outsized ashlars. The lintel of the Central Doorway may have been constructed of wood, because it appears to have been a horizontal course—but this is conjecture.
Location In the center of the South Corridor Wall.
Bonds to The South Exterior and Interior Walls, Loci 31 and 35.
