Description | Trench C6 is a 1 by 8 meter excavation unit located on the northwestern slopes of Kenan Tepe’s main mound. The purpose of this trench was to ground truth data collected in the remote sensing survey. This trench, along with trench C5, clearly documents and dates one of the large walls mapped in the remote sensing survey and excavated in the step trench (A2 and A8) that encircles the site. |
