Description Locus 3 consisted of a rough stone packing found during the excavation of locus 2. It contains of material recovered in and below the stone packing. The soil between the stones was identical to the dark brown claylike soil of locus 1 and 2. The material recovered seems to be excusively ancient and the presence of a frieze plaque fragment (find #1, p. 47) suggest that it is somehow chronologically related the the Archaic building on Piano del' Tesoro.
