Description | This is a Light Brown (Munsell 7.5 YR 6/4) silt soil deposit. Locus 11 includes the area below the second fluvial layer (Locus 9) in the northern area of the Trench. The soil is a grayer, clay-like soil, which includes few large stones. The pottery deposits are greatly reduced from those in Locus 9, and include larger volumes of roof tiles than earlier loci. |
