Description | Locus 5 is a doorway built into the East Wall (Locus 3). The door, measuring 0.57 m in width is narrower than its counterpart in the West Chamber, which has a width of 1.00 m. The masonry of the door is well constructed, featuring door jambs and drafted ashlars. The door, which has a preserved height of 1.67 m, leads from the East Chamber Storeroom into the Simon Staircase. |
