Description Interior east-west wall creating the 'Adyton' from the rear vaulted Central Arch and supporting the second-floor landing. Constructed of sandstone ashlars except for three square blocks of limestone set into the center of the seventh course from the bottom. The stones of the lowest four courses seem to be more regularly-cut than those of the upper seven courses (many of which are badly eroded) and may be of an earlier date.
