Description Locus 22 is constructed of sandstone ashlars with a course of sloping, ashlar stone on top which acts as the base for a sloping, vaulted ceiling. The wall is preserved to the height of 11 courses on its east face and 13 courses on the west face. There is a 1.0 m wide door in the wall at the base of the staircase leading into the West 'Adyton' and a window built into the wall opposite the arched window of Wall Locus 42 allowing light and air to pass between the West Staircase and the West 'Adyton.'
