Description | This wall may have been constructed as a dam to regulate the flow of water from the southern slope behind the Great Temple. It is constructed of reused ashlar blocks, set in five courses on the west, but only three courses remain in the east. Many of these blocks were probably cut for the Great Temple construction and were reused to create this dam. The bottom course is comprised of regularly cut headers and stretchers and the upper courses are headers, some of which are rounded in shape. |
