Descriptive Attribute Value(s)
Designator Wall
Context rating Primary
General remarks This wall is excavated and recorded by Nick in 2004 season and called as L.5181. It received a new starting locus this year and removed immediately since its bottom was measured to be at 586.36 meter. Bottom of it was not confirmed properly due to lack of identfying the bricks. No artifacts recorded during the removal process.
Strat below 5181
Strat remarks Probably sits on L.5206 but this is not confirmed as a fact with direct evidence since the bottom of the wall was not visible everywhere except the first two bricks coming out of the W section.

Has note Contexts excavated in trenches were recorded using the "locus system." A locus is any discrete three-dimensional entity excavated in a trench. The key to the locus system is the recognition that a locus is any one thing. Differences in soil composition or texture are therefore as important as, for example, the difference between a pit and a wall. If two entities were distinct, they were considered separate loci and were therefore assigned separate locus numbers. It should also be noted that every context excavated in a trench was given a locus number and thus the trench itself is made up completely of excavated loci.
