Description This small channel is probably a later installation. It seems to have been intentionally placed under the Locus 19 room wall as a water channel leading into the other later rooms in the northern side of Cave 1. At some point, the area above Cave 1 might have been unroofed, thus creating a sort of open forecourt, from which water would have percolated from the bedrock above. Thus, this channel might have served as the beginning of a water catchment for such type of installation.
