Description Locus 11 is an ash fill layer, loose and silty, soil color 10R 2.5/1 (reddish black), relatively free of inclusions (except for cultural materials). In excavation, it was sometimes confused with Locus 24, which is also an ash layer, but is clearly traceable in the balk.
