Work continued clearing around the tile-pithos and rock deposit in order to bring the whole area down to 50-55 cm and further define it. Soil was browner to me north in G. Again about 1 cassetta of mostly tile was removed as was pottery including fineware and pithos.

In L-K/86-88 the third cut was taken down to about 56-60 cm to just skim what appeared  to be a heavy plaster layer. The soil removed on this cut was grey brown but included lots of distinguished plaster making it lighter in color and consistency than much of the soil above it. About 1 cassetta of smaller plaster chunks with 2 very lage pieces were collected. A few chunks were burned. Also about 1 cassetta of tile was found in varying states. A very few pithos fragments were also found. About 1 box of mixed pottery was found here.

Work continued in a number of areas. First the continued excavation of cut to 40-45 cm. around the tile-pithos-rock area and the stump through meters GHI/89-92 continued to be cleaned. Again fineware was found in significant amounts as well as tile and some pithos. About 1 cassetta of 50% tile and 50% plaster was removed from here as well as 2 latte boxes of mixed pottery.

Lower level cuts to 50-60 cm, varied according to the area. In H-G/92-91 two cassette of 60% tile, 40% plaster were removed. Several very large pieces of plaseter were found as well as a few pieces of flat-edged plaster. Pottery included fineware all the way through to pithos. About 1 1/2 latte boxes were found here. Interestingly a piece of material which may be iron ore or something similar came from here. Soil here was grey brown with disintegrated plaster and very occaionsional pieces of carbon. It lay directly over a tile and plaster stratum which will be excavated next.

Another cut excavated L-J/86-90. The soil was grey brown with varying amounts of disintegrated plaster and chunks. In LK/86-87 the soil here included some red and black

burn with occasional pieces of carbon. A few fragments of burned bone were found here as well as two full boxes of pottery. Several fragments of very fine bucchero and redware came from here. A second fragment of whay may be iron ore.

In JK/87-88-89 the soil did not contain much burn at all. Pottery from here varied and about one box of it was collected. Four cassette of tile and plaseter were collected from the entire third cut 86-89, about 50% each. Occasional pieces were burned.
