Daily log
Friday 20 / 7 2012
AM
The day started with a scraping down of the CB-55 extension using handpicks and trowels. When the surface was level pickpassing began at the western edge of the extension. The area (stretching from 49 E to 50 E) was leveled further and brushed in an attempt to identify any pit like feature. The soil is varied both in color and density but no clear shap can be discerned. The soil in the rest of the extension similarly varies in both color and texture, but generally it is getting more clay like and bluish dark brown, especially in the southern part of the extension.

The easternmost meter of the extension was taken down ca. 5 cm using handpicks and trowels. No shape was identified ; not by color nor by density. The soil is becoming clay like, especially in the south section of the area. Pickpasses were made in the rest of the extension in order to achieve a level surface.
