We started the morning off with a picks from the eastern section to the western section of the trench using heavy pickaxes to break up the compact soil. Through hand sorting the

loose dirt into buckets, the amount of ceramic and terra cotta material is very low. Occasionally, pieces of tile are exposed.

After another picks towards the western end of the trench, a gorgon fragment was found amongst the broken up soil (Special Find #1).

The afternoon began with a pick pass at the western end of the trench with pickaxes. The loose dirt was hand sorted and dumped into the wheel barrow. Very few fragments of pottery and terra cotta have been found.

Afterwards, another pick pass was thrown in the eastern section of the trench. The loose dirt was hand sorted and dumped into the wheelbarrow.

There continues to be very little material.

Another picks was thrown towards the eastern section of the trench. The loose dirt was hand sorted and dumped into the wheelbarrow. The trench at the eastern end was also leveled with the help of trowels. The loose dirt was also hand sorted and dumped in the wheelbarrow. Very few pieces of terra cotta and pottery have been found.
