Work started a little late, hoping that the soil would dry out after last night's heavy rain. The southernmost meter of locus 2 is filled with rocks so it was decided to extend the locus to the west in order to see if the rocks extend that way.

The soil of the locus 2 extension is identical to the soil of locus 1 and locus 2 , very dark brown with a lot of roots. Pickpasses were made in the extension to bring it down to the same level as the original locus 2 .

Digging resumed across the entire locus 2 . The soil in the northernmost 3 meter seems to be more claylike than the rest of the locus. There are now rocks acros the entirety of the southernmost meter of the locus. They don\'t form a floor surface, but there are terracotta directly on top of two of them (in addition to several pieces that came oput while the area was being defined). Also, a well preserved handle was found directly on top of the stones.
