Very little bone was found in CB 47 during the 2011 season. In total, there were two fragments of bone. One of them was antler, but as it shows no signs of working it is difficult to tell whether it was deposited by ancient inhabitants of Poggio Civitate, or whether it was left by natural processes. Lack of bone is fairly consistent with other Civitate B trenches.
