Daily Log

June 22, 1973

Work continued in Tesoro Trench 18, the North Extension. In the morning two workmen cleanewd above the rocks in grids P 30-32. The yellow soil stratum here contains a few pithos fragments including a complete base and part of a heavy rim, a few pieces of bucchero, various spiral shells and some impasto sherds.

The rocks found her below the yellowish soil stratum do not give the appearance of wall foundation because they are scattered and not at even levels. Also there is no distinct angle in grib P32. (see drawing, page - drawing never completed due to rain )

Work discontinued at noon because of rain.
