AM
No work done on hill today due to previous day's rain.
PM
Work recommenced circa 2PM. A pick pass was begun in the northern meters of Locus 6 but only progressed 1m to the south. Soil is a medium yellowish brown color and mottled, with terracotta, limestone, and carbon inclusions. There is a noticeable presence of carbon in this northern meter. Soil was hand sorted directly into buckets in the trench and high quantities of pottery and some large tile fragments were recovered. Additionally, a large portion of an impasto bowl (Find #1) and a piece of vitrified terracotta (Find #2) were found.
