Description Locus 8 is defined by a loose, dark, brown soil which incorporates large (>30cm) rocks and tile fragments. Locus 8 is positioned to the East of Locus 7 (the central rock packing). Locus 8 was the most productive locus in terms of archaeological material, with large amounts of slag, pottery and bone found in this area.
