Definition | Mortar. |
Description | Locus 6 is the mortar lining the north tunnel. This same mortar is also visible in the east and west tunnels. Little mortar remains on the walls, however, and what does remain is often covered with salt encrustation. In the side tunnels, the mortar rests on a layer of stone. It appears that this is also the case in the north tunnel, but at this time it is not certain. |
