Description | Locus 9 consisted of the area to the north of locus 8 and to the west of locus 7. After a dense and mottled soil was found below the gray fine soil of locus 7, it was decided to excavate this area in order to acertain if this soil extended below locus 9. Locus 9 was the same brown/gray claylike soil found in locus 3, 4, and 6. It contained material of all types, including pottery, bone, terracotta, vitrified terracotta, slag, iron, and a crucible fragment. |
