Description This el-shaped water source and channel to the west of the complex between the Ornamental Pool and the Passageway (Locus 41) technically separates Trenches 120 and 127. The character of this deposit was that it was filled with river pebbles and was Light Brown in color 7.5YR 6/3. This appeared originally to be a wadi deposit; it surely was filled in a jumble of river rubble. In antiquity the evidence suggests that spring water may have flowed here. Of interest will be the coins found in this deposit. Although it may be contaminated by later fill, it appeared to have been an earlier deposition and product of a natural water flow.
