Description The rebuilt upper portion of Wall K consisted of hewn ashlars and reused architectural fragments used to raise the height of Wall K, probably during the construction of the cryptoporticus. This wall would have supported the arch system and the overlying colonnade. These stones lie on about 10 cm of soil that was on top of Locus 14, which was presumably used as a sort of mortar. After the excavation, two parts were left, one from the stairs 6.16 m past Locus 4, then a 3.95 m gap, and then 2.8 m more. Sub Datum 3 is on this second remaining portion.
