Description This SU begins exc. of the fill under the floor, it seems (some came out in 7117). The soil is noticeably different than any we’ve encountered so far. It is silty and clayey—in fact, with isolated pockets of clay appearing regularly (visible in scarp). The soil is far less gritty than earlier material. This SU closed when we came into a loose mortar filled pocket in the south, adjacent to 7112_f1. Context material consists of ceramics and plaster.
