Description | The bedrock was quarried as a fairly level surface upon which floor-pavers would have rested. These pavers were preserved only in the northwestern corner, where a flat green granite stone was also found next to the pavers in the corner. Another such stone was found in the southwestern corner where the tabun was built. Thus, we can only assume that the pavement stones were robbed at the beginning of Stage 3, during which time the room served as a domestic installation. |
