Description | This locus consisted of the fill under Trench 1, 1993 and over the capstones. As in the excavation to the east, several soil changes were noted in the balk that were not noticed during excavation (see Trench 1, 1993 Report). This locus included floor bedding, fill and the yellow, wadi stone fill level that covers the area immediately above the capstones. In the upper layers of fill, leveling was done in a less-orderly fashion than in the lower levels. Some loci, therefore, did not appear in all three areas of excavation. |
