Top (m) Opening elevation: 907.576 m at northwest, 907.696 m at northeast, 908.486 m at southwest, 908.686 m at southeast, 908.076 m at center.
Bottom (m) Closing elevation: 906.796 m at northwest, 906.106 m at northeast, 907.716 m at southwest, 908.256 m at southeast, 906.686 m at center.
Description The surface layer of topsoil and fill is a fine, loose, sandy, gray-brown (5YR 4/3), dry soil with squill and other vegetation over the surface. Wall 5 (Locus 5), along with parts of Loci 4 and 13 columns, the Anta Pier (Locus 9) and the rock fall (Locus 3), emerged in this locus. The pottery distribution included Nabataean bases and body sherds of jars, juglets and bowls. Some had slips and washes of black. The pottery inclusions appear to be the result of multiple forms of deposition. The plaster inclusions consisted of both foundation plaster and some off-white and blue, finished plaster. One tesserae and marble wall tile were found as well but were not registered.
Definition Soil/fill.
Phase Description Phase XIII: Major collapses continue into the Islamic period.
